“NENEQ read: Nenekyu” inspired by the Indonesian word Nenek (grandmother) where we replace “K” with “Q” as stand for Quality, is our tribute to the women who have long been the guardians of Indonesia’s beauty traditions. Their knowledge was never written in books; it was shared through gentle hands, whispered stories, and everyday rituals that became a way of life.

Dhidit Hadisubrata’s journey began in a humble village in Central Java, where she was raised by her great-grandmother and grandmother — guardians of a timeless botanical tradition. From an early age, she was immersed in the art of transforming natural ingredients into powders, creams, and tinctures — a legacy passed down through generations with quiet devotion.
Her path later led her into the world of fashion and media, where she built a career as a photo model and television host, developing a discerning eye for quality, beauty, and refinement.
Bridging heritage with modern sensibility, she envisioned a brand that preserves the soul of Javanese beauty while expressing it through the language of contemporary luxury. From this vision, NENEQ Java Essentials was born.
